Terms of Use

The gentle small print. Please give it a quick read.

Effective date: 25 May 2026

What PassPal is

PassPal is a calm driving confidence support app for learner and anxious drivers. It offers breathing exercises, reassurance content, panic-moment guidance and audio clips. By using PassPal you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

Not medical or mental health advice

PassPal is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological or mental health care. The content is for general emotional support and confidence building only. If you are struggling with anxiety, panic or your mental health, please speak to a qualified professional. In a crisis in the UK, contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans on 116 123.

Not affiliated with the DVSA

PassPal is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or any UK government body. Links to official resources are provided for convenience only.

Don't use while driving

For your safety and the safety of others, please do not use PassPal while actively operating a vehicle. Use breathing exercises, audio clips and any other interactive content only when you are stationary, parked safely, or a passenger.

No guarantee of passing

We hope PassPal helps you feel calmer and more confident — but using the app does not guarantee you will pass your driving test. Test outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

Premium access (the full kit)

  • The full kit is a one-time unlock purchase of £2.99. It is not a subscription and will never auto-renew.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. PassPal never sees or stores your card details.
  • Access is remembered on the device used for the purchase. If you provided an email at checkout, you can restore access on another device from Settings.
  • If something goes wrong with your purchase, please contact us and we'll help — refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in line with UK consumer law.

Acceptable use

When using PassPal, please:
  • Use it only for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Don't try to break, reverse-engineer, scrape or disrupt the app.
  • Don't redistribute, resell or share premium content with others.
  • Don't use the app in any unlawful way or to harm others.

Intellectual property

All content in PassPal — including text, copy, audio clips, voice recordings, design, illustrations and branding — is owned by PassPal or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app and access its content for your own driving test journey. You may not copy, republish, distribute, modify or create derivative works without our written permission.

Availability

We try to keep PassPal available and reliable, but we don't promise it will always work without interruption. We may update, change or remove features over time to improve the app.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PassPal is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including test outcomes, missed appointments, or emotional distress. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a UK consumer, or our liability for things that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective date” at the top. Continued use of PassPal after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
